You can skip or unskip the next instance of a recurring payment in just a few taps or clicks.

Choose the payment you’d like to skip

Tap Skip next scheduled transfer and follow the prompts. Sorted!

Tip: If you’d like to skip multiple payments, repeat these steps. To reinstate a payment instance you skipped, follow these steps and choose Unskip nextSuperscript: 1.

Delete a future payment

You can delete a future payment (one-off or recurring) in just a few taps or clicks. Remember when you delete a payment, it cannot be reactivated.

Log in to the ANZ App

Tap Accounts, then More

Tap Future payments/transfers

Select the payment or transfer you’d like to delete

Tap Delete, follow the prompts and it’s gone!

Tip: The payment will show a Deleted status until the scheduled payment date. After then, you will no longer see it in the ANZ App however you can see it in View past payments/transfers in Internet Banking.

Handy tips

Let us know in time

If you are changing a future payment, including skipping, unskipping or deleting, make sure you let us know by 11.59pm (AEST/AEDT) the day before the scheduled date.

Have the funds ready

To ensure successful payment, make sure the funds are ready to be withdrawn and are within your daily payment limits. Future-dated payments require cleared funds in your account at 11.59pm (AEST/AEDT) the day before the scheduled date.

Set the appropriate payment date

A future-dated payment will be processed on the morning of the date you schedule it and sent via the fastest method available. If the scheduled date falls on a weekend or public holiday (excl. Osko payments), it will be processed on the next bank business day.

FAQs

A payment/transfer will show with a status of "locked" when it is being processed. Once processing is completed, you will see the payment in the transaction history of your account.

No, you will not be notified if a future payment fails. You can check the status of your payments in View past payments/transfers in ANZ Internet Banking. Learn more.

All future-dated payments/transfers will be processed by us on the morning of the date requested unless the payment/transfer date falls on a weekend or public holiday in which case it will be processed the next bank business day.
