Osko is a fast payment network that allows near real-time payments between participating banks.
An Osko payment is a payment that is sent via the Osko service.
You don’t need to sign up for Osko payments. Osko payments are dependent upon the banks involved in the transaction.
Whether payment/s you send and receive are sent via the Osko service will depend upon whether your account is eligible to send and receive Osko payments, the terms and conditions of your payee’s or payer’s bank and any technical limitations or interruptions.
Some accounts aren’t eligible to send or receive payments using Osko. If this is the case then you won’t be able to set notifications for that particular account.
If none of your accounts are eligible to send or receive payments using Osko then you’ll only be able to set notifications for when changes are made to your payee list.
Notifications set in Internet Banking are only available for payee list changes and Osko payments.
If you have an eligible business account you can set up notifications in the ANZ App to receive notifications for payments other than Osko payments. For example when you withdraw cash at an ATM or use EFTPOS facilities.
Changing your Internet Banking notification preferences won’t change those set in your ANZ App and vice versa.
Unfortunately not, notifications are only available for Australian mobile numbers. If you don’t have an Australian mobile number but would like to receive account notifications you can elect to receive them to an email address.
If a payment fails to be sent via the Osko service, our system will attempt to send it via alternative payment channels. If your payment fails via the Osko service and is successfully submitted via an alternative channel, then you’ll get a failed payment notification even though your payment was successfully submitted.
You may not be able to set account notifications because you don’t have a current Australian mobile number or email address saved in your ANZ contact details.
If you’d like to set account notifications, you can update your ANZ contact details to include an Australian mobile number or an email address.
If you’d like to stop receiving notifications then you can suspend all your notifications by editing your notification preferences.
Yes, you can enable push notifications to be sent to your device from the ANZ App. These are available for incoming and outgoing payments for eligible business accounts.
You can set a threshold amount so that you’ll only receive notifications for payments over that specific amount. This threshold can be changed at any time. e.g. If the threshold is $500, then you will only receive notifications for payments equal to or over $500.
To get started, log in to the ANZ App, tap Profile then Notifications and follow the prompts.
Available when the sending and receiving accounts are capable of processing faster payments. Not available on some ANZ accounts, including ANZ Home Loans and ANZ Personal Loans. Technical interruptions may occur.
