Get more protection when you bank online. ANZ Shield is a security app that verifies your ANZ Internet Banking activity. Plus, it offers access to additional ANZ Internet Banking services.
Register for ANZ Shield
Once you've registered for ANZ Shielddisclaimer, you'll be prompted to generate a Shield Code when making certain internet banking transactions or any changes to your account.
Generate a Shield Code
To generate a Shield Code, open the ANZ Shield app from your registered phone and enter your four-digit ANZ Shield PIN.
ANZ Internet Banking customers
If you forget your ANZ Shield PIN, accidentally delete the ANZ Shield app or lose your device, please contact us if you need further assistance.

To remove ANZ Shield, please contact the ANZ Internet Banking for Business Help Desk to discuss other security options. We're available on 1800 269 242 from 8am - 6pm (AEST), Monday to Friday (International callers: +61 3 8699 6906).
ANZ Shield gives you immediate access to additional security features for ANZ Internet Banking and ANZ Internet Banking for Business, and registering is quick and convenient. To learn more about how ANZ's keeping your banking safe, visit our Security hub.
You may be asked to provide a SMS OTP or Shield Code when you're logging in to internet banking, to authenticate certain payments , login and online activities that ANZ considers high risk. For ANZ Internet Banking for Business, you’ll be asked to provide a Shield Code to authenticate all third-party payments.

ANZ Shield requires you to grant some permissions so that the app can work as expected. These include the ability to make and manage calls and check your network status so that you can call us for support, and the ability to write to the device’s storage so that we can save important information in the background. You can revoke these permissions at any time in your device settings.
