Commencing June 2020, ANZ started contacting ANZ Travel Card customers via Email/Letter/SMS, to advise of the closure of their ANZ Travel Card account.
All ANZ Travel Card accounts are now closed from October 2022.
At ANZ we are always reviewing our product range to ensure it continues to meet the needs of our customers. Based on customer feedback and research conducted, ANZ has made the decision to close all ANZ Travel Card accounts.
All Travel Card accounts are closed, the available Stored Value balance has been converted to AUD and will be transferred to, if we have not already done so, your alternate ANZ account, your ANZ Credit Card or via a Bank Cheque.
If you do not have an eligible ANZ account, ANZ Credit Card and have not received a Bank Cheque, you will receive a letter with instructions on how to request your Stored Value balance.
If we do not hear from you by 6th February 2023, we will transfer the remaining Stored Value balance, if over AUD$500 equivalent, to the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC) as unclaimed money. For information on how to claim funds that have been transferred to ASIC, please visit https://www.anz.com.au/personal/bank-accounts/manage-my-accounts/unclaimed-money/.
Any remaining Stored Value balances under AUD$500 equivalent will remain at ANZ and can be retrieved at any time by contacting us on 1800 094 003.
