  • Money gifts or pocket money can be saved
  • Build some savings from a young age

Everyday accounts

As kids get older, they might need an everyday account as well as a savings account. Those aged 12 and over may be eligible to open the account themselves.disclaimer Customers aged 12 and 13 are eligible to receive an ANZ Access Visa Debit carddisclaimer but will need to visit an ANZ branch to order their card and bring a parent or guardian. BSB stands for bank, state and branch number. It identifies the bank, branch and state that you opened your account in.

Your account number is the identification number associated with your account. Every account has one. For credit cards your account number is your 16-digit card number shown on the front of your card.

You can find your BSB and account number several ways:

  • With the ANZ App

Your BSB and account number is shown at the top of the screen when you tap on an account. Easy!

  • On ANZ Internet Banking

You can find your BSB and account number by selecting your account from the ANZ Internet Banking homepage and viewing the 'Details' tab.

Your BSB number can be found by searching for the branch in which you opened your account. The BSB number will show in the search results alongside the branch location and hours of operation.

  • On your statements

Your BSB and account number will appear on your statement copies. The first 6 digits are your BSB number followed by your 9-digit account number.

  • On ANZ Phone Banking

Call 13 13 14 to retrieve your BSB and account numbers. You can do this 24/7 from any touch tone phone from anywhere in Australia for the cost of a local call.
