Looking for a Joint ANZ Plus Flex Saver?

Unfortunately, the ANZ Plus Flex Saver is currently only available as an individual account, so you'll need to ride solo with this one.

You can invite your plus one to open Joint ANZ Plus and ANZ Save accounts with you in a few simple steps.

To open and hold joint accounts, you’ll each need to have (and keep) your own individual ANZ Plus and ANZ Save accounts.

How do joint accounts work?

With ANZ Plus, you can open joint accounts to spend and save with your plus one.

When you open joint accounts you’ll each get:

  • Two shared accounts – a Joint ANZ Plus account and a Joint ANZ Save account.
  • A Joint ANZ Plus Visa Debit card linked to your Joint ANZ Plus account.

You’ll also get to share the great features of the ANZ Plus app with your plus one so you can set and track towards shared goals, track your joint spending, plan for upcoming expenses together and more.

This may include visibility of the other person’s spending, including transaction time and location, when using their Joint ANZ Plus card. If you have notifications on, you'll also receive real-time updates linking to these details.

If they have notifications on, they'll see the same for you, so make sure you’re comfortable with the person you’re opening joint accounts with.

Accessing your joint accounts

You can access your joint accounts and shared features by switching to your Joint Accounts view. You can do this:

  • On the Money tab by selecting either your Joint ANZ Plus account or Joint ANZ Save account
  • When you go to the Card icon by swiping across to your Joint ANZ Plus card.

When you make payments and transfers, you’ll also be able to select between your individual and joint accounts and goals.

To continue to be able to access your Joint ANZ Plus and ANZ Save accounts, you and your plus one will both need to have and continue to hold individual ANZ Plus and ANZ Save accounts.

Add-Ons

If the other account holder has Add-Ons installed, they may also see activity relating to your joint account activity. For more details, check out 'How do I use or manage Add-Ons?'.

Signing authority

By default, your joint accounts allow either person to spend, pay or withdraw money without the other account holder’s permission.

If you need to change this to require both account holders to authorise withdrawals, transactions and payments, please send us a message.

You can send us a message if you have any issues or concerns with how your plus one is using the account.
