If you find yourself worrying about or unable to keep up with your home loan repayments, you may be experiencing mortgage stress. We may be able to provide support options and will do our best to help you through a difficult time.

What to do if you miss a repayment

If you’re finding it hard to keep up with your repayments or feeling anxious about them, you might be experiencing mortgage stress. We’re here to support and explore options that could help you navigate this difficult time.

How we may be able to help

1. Temporary reduced payment

We understand that people can experience challenging times, and we want to help if that is the case. If you can’t make your full repayment we're here to support you and can discuss options which, depending on your circumstances, may include a temporary reduced payment arrangement on your home loan. We’ll try and work together to find a payment arrangement that suits your needs.

 

2. Temporary payment break

If you’re unable to make a home loan repayment for an extended period, we can discuss whether a temporary payment break may be able to be agreed to. We'll assess your financial situation, and if such an option is possible, create a plan for resuming payments and explain how a payment break will impact you.

 

3. Restructure of loan

We can discuss whether it may be possible to restructure your debt to make it more manageable. We’ll review your current situation to determine if a restructure is possible.

 

4. Sale of property

We understand that potentially having to sell your property can be a heartbreaking situation. That's why we'll work with you to explore all other options. If it becomes clear that selling may be unavoidable, we'll support you through the process in every way we can.
