ANZ’s Card Tracker gives customers greater visibility

2022-10-07 22:00

ANZ Bank New Zealand has launched Card Tracker, a new way of helping customers keep track of where their card details may be stored.

Card Tracker is a new feature in ANZ’s goMoney app, that allows customers to see where their personal ANZ Visa Debit or credit card details may be stored and the last payment date.

Customers will now be able to see payments such as subscription services, casual online purchases, and instalments (such as buy now, pay later).

ANZ Managing Director for Personal Banking Ben Kelleher says it’s a quick way for people to check where they may have stored their card details with retailers and service providers they regularly use or may have forgotten about.

“We know customers want more visibility of their finances, and it can be hard to keep track of the places you have your credit or debit card details stored and the payments you’re making.

“ANZ Card Tracker looks to ease this by giving customers more visibility over where their card details may be stored, so you can check.

Mr Kelleher says investing in more tools to help customers stay on top of their money in a digital world is part of the bank’s financial wellbeing approach.

“This is another way we can help people keep track of their money and stay on top of their finances.”

Visa’s Country Manager for New Zealand and South Pacific Anthony Watson said: “With payments increasingly taking place online, Card Tracker offers Visa cardholders a clearer, more seamless view of where their card details may be stored. We’re pleased to partner with ANZ New Zealand to deliver this solution to their customers.”

Those who decide to query a payment, cancel any subscriptions, or simply want to update or remove their card details, will need to contact the provider directly. This can’t be done through the bank.

Cancelling your card or closing your account won’t necessarily stop these charges either. The authority remains valid until cancelled with the provider.
