ANZ Bank New Zealand will re-open some branches this week for essential transactions.
The bank will re-open a total of 64 branches on Tuesdays and Thursdays only, with limited hours and tight Covid-19 controls in place. To help stop the spread of the Delta variant, all ANZ branches and associated in-branch services have been closed since the start of the latest lockdown.
Essential services will include simple withdrawals and deposits, business banking which cannot be done using Fast Deposit, issuing replacement EFTPOS cards, and assisting vulnerable customers with setting up phone or internet banking.
Customers are asked to not visit a branch if they are unwell or awaiting the results of a COVID test, if they have visited a location of interest, or if they are able to do their banking through one of ANZ’s self-service options.
Internet Banking, 24/7 Automated Phone Banking and ATMs are available to help customers do their regular banking.
More information on the branches opening and services available can be found here.
