A digital feast: Techweek 21 kicks off this month

2021-05-02 22:00

ANZ New Zealand is once again throwing its support behind Techweek this year, with a host of engaging and enlightening events already confirmed.

Techweek (May 22-30) is a series of events revolving around technology and innovation, with some hosted in person around New Zealand, and others taking place online – or a mixture of the two.

ANZ is organizing several events of its own to run during Techweek, which are aimed at engaging and inspiring current professionals, as well as fostering future talent.

For starters, ANZ will have a booth in the Imagine Zone during the Tech21 Summit on May 24, where teachers, students and career advisors can learn about potential pathways into the field.

ANZ’s second event on May 25 will see Astrud Burgess and Pip Wilkinson talking about how Machine Learning is helping to identify customer needs – and even distress - through its Assist Programme.

That session will be followed up by a live interview on Techweek TV, which will be streamed worldwide.

And lastly, ANZ is running a two-part ‘hackathon’ event involving training cars with machine learning.

The Deepracer and AWS platforms will be used in the event, with the first sessions aimed at introducing them and giving insights into their use, and the second to race the cars themselves.
