ANZ NZ receives Rainbow Tick for another year

2020-05-29 13:02

ANZ New Zealand (ANZ NZ) is proud to have received Rainbow Tick certification for another year.

Rainbow Tick is about accepting and valuing people in the workplace and embracing the diversity of sexual and gender identities.

“At ANZ we want everyone to be able to embrace their authentic selves and thrive, and we are committed to maintaining an inclusive culture where everybody can bring their whole self to work,” said Astrud Burgess, Head of Data and Marketing at ANZ.

The Rainbow Tick certification process tests whether companies understand and welcome sexual and gender diversity and involves an ongoing quality improvement process and monitoring. ANZ NZ first became accredited in 2014.

“The reaccreditation process helps us to better understand what we do well and identify opportunities for what we can do better,” she said.

“The recent report we received from Rainbow Tick gave us some encouraging feedback, and highlighted that we continue to demonstrate gold standard practice around diversity and inclusion of our Rainbow-identifying staff at all levels throughout ANZ.

“Being a vibrant, diverse and inclusive workforce makes us a better organisation for our employees, customers and the communities that we live and work in.”

The ANZ Pride Network, which is available to all ANZ NZ LGBTQI+ and ally staff, helps foster inclusion and provides support to staff who may struggle to be their true selves at work.
