ANZ is proud to announce that this year’s Community Ball in Adelaide was a resounding success, with fundraising initiatives on the night raising over $150,000 for local charities while celebrating the best of South Australia's produce and talent.
Returning to the Adelaide Oval for 2025, over 400 attendees participated in various fundraising activities, including live and silent auctions, a SkyCity Balloon Pop fundraising initiative, and a car raffle provided by Peter Kittle Toyota. The evening featured music from award-winning cover band, The Cast, and entertainment from magician and mentalist, Matt Tarrant.
ANZ Chairman, South Australia, Simon Birmingham said: “We are thankful to our customers, community and sponsors for their generosity and support in making this year’s Community Ball another success. The funds raised will significantly benefit the services our charity partners deliver, providing much-needed support to their respective communities.
“Beyond raising funds, the ANZ Community Ball offers a wonderful opportunity to reconnect with our community partners and customers in South Australia. I am exceptionally proud of ANZ’s South Australian team for their dedication and effort in organising this event, which is all about supporting and uplifting the local community,” said Mr Birmingham.
Hutt St Centre General Manager Advocacy, Lauren Kilsby said: "Hutt St Centre is incredibly grateful to be a beneficiary of the ANZ Community Ball. The generosity of ANZ, its customers, and the wider community will make a real difference for people experiencing homelessness in Adelaide. These vital funds will help us continue providing essential services, warm meals, and pathways to long-term housing and stability. It’s heartening to see so many people come together in support of those doing it tough."
Together with customers and community partners, the ball raised funds for 12 South Australian charities. This year’s event was hosted in partnership with the Hutt St Centre, a homelessness support organisation in Adelaide that provides short-term relief and pathways to long-term stability.
The ANZ Community Ball has raised more than $1.65 million since its inception.
