NSW Government renews transaction banking partnership with ANZ

ANZ is pleased to confirm the New South Wales Government has renewed its transaction banking partnership with the bank, enabling it to continue to support the processing of some of the NSW Government’s nearly 150 million annual transactions. The NSW Government’s annual transaction volume represents almost one percent of all transactions in Australia.

New South Wales is Australia’s largest economy and is home to the largest public service. The government’s annual transaction volume has a value of $216 billion, and includes one of the country’s biggest payrolls. The NSW Government makes a further $40 billion in supplier payments each year.

The renewed partnership advances the NSW Government’s digital transformation program, which aims to help stakeholders navigate the cyber security landscape as they move goods and capital around the region.

ANZ has demonstrated its ability to enhance agencies’ payments productivity, cost base and safety and has maintained a transaction banker relationship with the NSW Government since 2018.
