ANZ has welcomed the Federal Government’s extension of its SME Recovery Fund to support those affected by the recent floods across New South Wales and Queensland.
Small and medium sized businesses in flood-affected areas can access the low cost funding from 1 April regardless of whether they were on JobKeeper during the March quarter.
ANZ Managing Director Commercial and Private Banking, Isaac Rankin said: “These floods came at a really difficult time as many businesses had already been reeling from the effects of the global pandemic.
“The extension of the government’s fund, along with financial assistance measures from banks such as ANZ, will provide useful support for a number of businesses as they recovery from these devastating floods,” he said.
ANZ announced a support package for flood-affected communities earlier this month with a range of financial relief measures.
