ANZ's use of Recruitment Agencies:
ANZ has a commitment to sourcing candidates directly and as such does not accept speculative or unsolicited CV’s from recruitment agencies who are not appointed to its panels. We work with a defined list of preferred suppliers who may be invited to support us in sourcing candidates for particular roles, but, in line with our Sourcing Policy, ANZ only pays recruitment agency fees where we have a signed agreement in place and a recruitment agency has been instructed by a member of ANZ’s recruitment team to procure a candidate.
We do not pay agency fees where speculative and unsolicited CV’s are submitted to ANZ or ANZ employees by any means other than through our recruitment processes. Where this is not observed ANZ reserves the right to contact these candidates directly and initiate discussions without payment of any recruitment agency fee.
ANZ does not accept any terms or conditions attached to or accompanying CVs. Non-preferred recruitment agencies are on notice that the submission of any unsolicited CVs or proposals to ANZ will only be reviewed by ANZ on the basis that those agencies are deemed to have first understood and agreed to the above.
3rd Party Security Incident Alert
You may have seen media coverage of a security incident which has occurred on PageUp’s systems: https://www.pageuppeople.com/unauthorised-activity-on-it-system/
ANZ used PageUp for its Graduate, Summer Intern and Generalist Banker recruitment campaigns between 2006 and 2017. However, following consultation with PageUp and our own investigations, ANZ is satisfied that candidate data was deleted from the impacted PageUp systems before the security incident took place.
Accordingly, ANZ does not consider any steps need to be taken in response to the incident but takes this opportunity to remind all users of our security tips including in relation to passwords: https://www.anz.com.au/security/account-protection/internet-banking/online-safety/
ANZ will continue to monitor the situation and will take appropriate steps, including notification of potentially impacted applicants, if any change in circumstances makes it necessary and appropriate to do so.
