We provide our employees, customer and shareholders with opportunities to support the causes that are important to them through our Community Giving program.
In 2007, over $1.6 million was donated to charitable organisations through this program.
- By Staff: through regular payroll deductions to one or more of 25 charities with donations matched dollar-for-dollar by ANZ up to $1,000 per person and $1 million each year. Charities are selected by ANZ staff through a survey. The list is determined by the results of these surveys and is reviewed annually.
- By Customer: through online banking, customers are able to donate to one of 28 charities conveniently and directly from their account; and
- By Shareholders: through the Dividend Donation Program giving the opportunity for Shareholders to elect to donate some or all of their cash dividend entitlements to a nominated charity. ANZ is the first Australian company serviced by the major share registries to offer shareholders the opportunity to donate their dividends to a choice of charities.
