MoneyMinded is a comprehensive suite of adult financial education programs developed to help financial counsellors and community educators assist people to build their financial skills, knowledge and confidence.

In 2007, we exceeded our goal of reaching 20,000 people with MoneyMinded. 22,458 people participated in workshops and one-to-one sessions, and over 1040 community educators and financial counsellors were also trained to deliver the program.

ANZ has set a target of reaching 30,000 people in 2008.

We have made a commitment to coordinate and fund:

• Facilitator training for financial counsellors and community educators to familiarise them with MoneyMinded's content and structure.
• Partnerships with a range of community organisations across Australia to deliver MoneyMinded in their communities.
• Annual reviews of MoneyMinded's content to ensure it is up-to-date and relevant.
• Provision of MoneyMinded program materials, including facilitator workshop delivery guides, participant activity sheets, calculators and the MoneyMinded website.

ANZ is working with financial counselling networks and community agencies to introduce MoneyMinded and make it widely available throughout Australia. We are also funding eight community organisations to deliver MoneyMinded facilitator training and participant workshops in their communities. For more information, visit the MoneyMinded website.

The Sharing the Stories booklet illustrates the different and innovative ways the MoneyMinded program is being delivered in the community. Some facilitators deliver the program in its original workshop format, while others are tailoring the materials to suit the specific needs of different community groups. MoneyMinded is designed to be a flexible program that can be adapted to suit a wide range of audiences.
