Online switching service

Exception Fee policies

ANZ has responded to community concerns about bank exception fees (e.g. fees charged for overdrawing your account or going overlimit on your credit card) by:

  • reducing them to $10 (from $35) for low income customers;
  • waiving fees in the first instance for customers who contact us;
  • charging one single flat amount for all exception fees (except where a reduced fee applies); and
  • helping customers avoid these fees by allowing customers to switch off the ability to overdraw their account with electronic transactions.

Fee free accounts - Community Banking Package

Our Community Banking Package provides a simple and easy-to-use package of everyday banking concessions - such as no monthly fees and free ANZ transactions - for seniors, full-time students, under 18s, people with disabilities and government benefit recipients.

Opening rural branches

To help provide more access to ANZ, we are opening more branches and installing more ATMs in metro, regional and rural communities.

Drought Consolidation Loan

ANZ is supporting farmers in the good times and difficult times via the ANZ Drought Consolidation Loan (DCL). We offer farmers a chance to consolidate existing farm liabilities onto a long-term tailored loan facility. The DCL allows farmers to restructure the cash outgoings required to meet their financial obligations over the medium term, and offers a consolidated line of credit on an interest-only basis.
