ANZ has set environmental targets for the two years from 1 October 2007 to 30 September 2009.
For our Australian operations, our targets are to achieve:
- 5% reduction in electricity per FTE
- 5% reduction in water usage per FTE
- 10% reduction in paper purchased per FTE
- 10% reduction in waste sent to landfill per FTE
ANZ National in New Zealand is aiming to achieve a 5% reduction in energy use, waste generation and paper use per FTE by September 2008.
We are also committed to achieving our goal of carbon neutrality in Australia and New Zealand by the end of 2009, while maintaining our ongoing focus on the key areas of electricity, water, paper and waste.
